About The Position

The Busser is responsible for clearing and resetting tables, maintaining restaurant cleanliness, and assisting guests as needed. The role supports servers and other restaurant staff in a high-volume restaurant setting and reports directly to the FOH Manager or Manager on Duty. The position is full-time and located in Chicago, Illinois. The listed salary range is $25.00–$28.00 per hour. New hires must complete Form I-9 and successfully participate in the federal E-Verify process to confirm employment eligibility.

Able to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting.
Able to interact verbally and listen attentively to guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
Complete Form I-9 and successfully participate in the federal E-Verify process as a new hire.

Responsibilities

Clear dishes from guests’ tables.
Reset tabletops with place settings and wipe down chairs.
Inspect and clean carpet and other flooring when debris or liquid is detected.
Respond to guests’ questions and make recommendations as appropriate.
Set up and maintain work areas, including setting up tables at the beginning or end of a shift.
Carry trays back to the dishwasher, unload them, and wipe them clean.
Scrape and stack dishes.
Return dirty dishes and silverware to the dishwashing area, sorting and placing them in the prescribed area for washing.
Stock stations with silverware, napkins, and other supplies.
Check restrooms for cleanliness.
Respond to guests’ additional requests and assist servers with their tables as needed.
Inspect floors for debris and spills, and sweep or dry them as necessary.
Perform other duties as required or assigned by Management.
