Busser / Service Support
About The Position
The Busser / Service Support assists bartenders and servers by maintaining cleanliness and providing support for fast, friendly, and accommodating service. The role helps create an enjoyable atmosphere for guests and team members and contributes to the overall guest experience through food, drinks, and games. The position includes maintaining bus stands and wait stations, clearing and resetting tables, assisting guests with dishes and beverage refills, supporting party setup and breakdown, and keeping restrooms and other areas clean and stocked. Team members must communicate clearly, work cooperatively, and take corrective action or alert a supervisor when problems arise. The job requires working days, nights, and/or weekends as needed in a noisy, fast-paced environment, and involves standing or walking throughout the shift, frequent reaching, bending, and stooping, and lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
Requirements
- Demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate with guests and other team members.
- Be friendly and able to smile frequently while working.
- Work days, nights, and/or weekends as required.
- Work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions.
- Read and write handwritten notes.
- Lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Move about the facility and stand for long periods; walk or stand for 100% of the shift.
- Reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
Nice To Haves
- Restaurant and/or bar experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Keep bus stands clean and stocked and ensure wait stations remain clean.
- Empty trash and spot-sweep floors as needed or when requested by a manager.
- Perform opening and closing responsibilities, including party breakdown duties.
- Restock and prepare supplies for shift changes or closing.
- Bus and reset tables.
- Assist guests by clearing dishes and glassware and refilling beverages.
- Assist with party setup.
- Maintain restroom cleanliness and restock supplies.
- Clean high chairs and booster chairs.
- Assist bartenders, servers, and other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
- Keep the immediate supervisor informed of problems or unusual matters and take prompt corrective action or suggest alternatives when necessary.
- Follow company sanitation procedures and help create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members.
