About The Position

The Busperson at Nine Fine Irishmen inside New York-New York is responsible for upholding the restaurant’s standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest readiness. The role maintains dining rooms, storerooms, food pickup areas, and beverage stations, keeping them stocked, well maintained, and ready to support service. The Busperson helps create a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that contributes to an outstanding guest experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least 1 year of prior relevant experience as a busperson or food runner.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work with servers to ensure proper guest service.
• Polish flatware and set tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, linen, condiments, and accessories; fold napkins and ensure clean ashtrays are available in designated smoking areas.
• Clear, clean, and sanitize booth and chair cushions and tables, then reset them with clean linens, ashtrays, votive candles, glassware, and other required tabletop items.
• Remove dirty dishes, debris, and linens from tables and take them to the kitchen for proper washing; dispose of trash in designated receptacles.
• Coordinate table availability and communicate with servers, the hostess, and management to ensure tables are turned efficiently.
• Serve and refill water, coffee, and soft drinks as needed.
• Keep dining room floors clean and free of debris.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
