About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Busser to provide friendly, responsive service and create an exceptional dining experience for guests. The role includes greeting or serving guests when applicable, providing drink refills, and clearing and resetting tables. The Busser helps maintain clean tables and tidy dining areas to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment, and supports the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Requirements

Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other resort associates.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
Ability to work independently during busy periods.

Nice To Haves

Restaurant, hotel, resort, or customer service experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

Greet and serve guests when applicable and provide drink refills as needed.
Clear and reset tables after guests leave.
Take dirty tableware to the dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, and other items in the appropriate areas for washing.
Between seatings, clean tabletops, chairs, and booths; check and clean floors as required; and reset and arrange tabletops.
Inspect assigned restrooms every 30 minutes, clean and replenish supplies as needed, and/or alert common area cleaners to problem areas.
Communicate with servers and the hostess or host to support efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service.
Fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations, as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
