About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Busser to help provide friendly, responsive service and create an exceptional dining experience for guests. The role includes greeting or serving guests when applicable, providing drink refills, and clearing and resetting tables. The Busser helps keep dining areas clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and supports smooth restaurant operations as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor. The listed pay rate is $7–$8 per hour plus tips.

Requirements

Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other resort associates.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
Ability to work independently and self-direct during busy periods.

Nice To Haves

Restaurant, hotel, resort, or customer service experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

Take dirty tableware to the dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, and other items in the appropriate areas for washing.
Promptly clean tabletops, chairs, and booths between seatings.
Check floors and clean them as needed.
Reset and arrange tabletops.
Inspect the assigned restroom every 30 minutes; clean and replenish supplies as needed, and/or alert common area cleaners to problem areas.
Communicate with servers and the host or hostess to support efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service.
Fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations, as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Greet or serve guests when applicable and provide drink refills as needed.
