Business Transformation Director

Graitec•Atlanta, GA

About The Position

The Business Transformation Director leads Graitec’s transformation portfolio and builds and leads the new Business Transformation team. The portfolio covers programmes that change how the company sells, delivers, bills and serves customers, supported by programme delivery, PMO, enterprise architecture, change and adoption, and business partnering. The role works with Graitec’s leadership team and the SVP IT & Business Transformation to turn growth priorities into a coherent, prioritised and funded portfolio. The role is accountable for outcomes and value captured—not merely systems deployed—including ERP modernisation, the commercial growth engine, customer self-service, services at scale and corporate AI. It leads a distributed team across Europe and North America, owns the team’s operating model and budget, and establishes the governance, architecture and change capabilities that help programmes land and deliver lasting adoption. The role also develops repeatable approaches to acquisition integration and works closely with Data & AI, IT Operations & Platforms, and Information Security.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in business transformation, consulting or programme leadership, including at least five years in-house in an international business, leading a multi-programme portfolio with team and budget accountability.
  • Personal leadership of at least one major ERP or CRM go-live through adoption and measured benefits; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is preferred.
  • Executive-level portfolio management and benefits realisation experience, including investment cases that withstand CFO scrutiny.
  • Experience setting up a PMO or transformation office, including portfolio governance, methods and tooling.
  • Enterprise or business architecture experience, including capability models, value streams, target architectures, and integration and master data design.
  • Process redesign experience across end-to-end value streams such as quote to cash; B2B software, subscription or professional services experience is preferred.
  • Experience leading organisational change across multinational, multicultural teams and closing the gap between go-live and adoption.
  • Strong partner and vendor management skills, holding systems integrators to scope, quality, time and cost.
  • Executive presence and commercial acumen; credibility with leadership, willingness to make difficult prioritisation decisions, and ability to lead through influence without line authority.
  • Fluency with AI and automation in business processes, with a pragmatic understanding of where they provide returns.
  • Hands-on ability to build a new team and new ways of working while delivering.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a growing, acquisitive or private equity-backed business, including post-acquisition integration.
  • A consulting background or experience building a transformation office from the ground up.
  • TOGAF, MSP, PgMP, PMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent qualifications.
  • Software or SaaS sector experience, including recurring revenue and renewals.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience for a major ERP or CRM go-live.
  • B2B software, subscription or professional services experience with end-to-end process redesign.

Responsibilities

  • Own Graitec’s transformation roadmap, aligning it with the value creation plan, business plan and investment cycle.
  • Lead, coach and grow a distributed team of programme and project managers, PMO and enterprise architecture across Europe and North America.
  • Partner with the leadership team to translate strategic priorities into a funded, sequenced portfolio.
  • Own the team’s operating model and budget, and establish frameworks, standards and practices for delivering change.
  • Run end-to-end portfolio governance, including intake, prioritisation, stage gates, dependencies, resourcing and executive reporting.
  • Build investment cases with business stakeholders, setting out costs, benefits, risks and payback.
  • Own benefits realisation, including baselines, named benefit owners and reporting of realised value; stop initiatives that do not pay back.
  • Provide objective, data-led challenge to proposals and progress, and escalate decisions early.
  • Be accountable for delivery across ERP and enterprise platforms, Customer and Revenue, Data and AI, and IT and Security.
  • Manage programme scope, quality, time and cost; resolve barriers and make trade-offs visible to sponsors.
  • Build repeatable deployment playbooks for country rollouts.
  • Manage implementation partners and systems integrators against plans, costs and outcomes.
  • Build change and adoption capability, incorporating business readiness, training and communication into deliveries.
  • Establish end-to-end process ownership with the business for core value streams, including quote to cash and project delivery to invoice, with controls designed in from the start.
  • Design standard end-to-end processes with the business, creating them where they do not exist.
  • Redesign processes before automating them, and apply automation and AI with Data & AI where processes and data are ready.
  • Hand processes over to business owners once processes, controls and measures are working, so adoption and results remain business-owned.
  • Build business partnering with each function and form fusion teams with shared KPIs and OKRs.
  • Partner with Data & AI, IT Operations & Platforms, and Information Security so change is integrated into operations, with data and security designed in.
  • Own enterprise architecture, including the business capability model, value streams, target architecture and roadmap to fewer, integrated platforms.
  • Run a design authority to ensure programmes align with the target architecture.
  • Own the acquisition integration playbook for processes, data and platforms, with IT Operations & Platforms delivering core IT integration.
