About The Position

Trisura Insurance Company is seeking a Business Technology Lead for its Business Technology Solutions team. The role aligns business strategy with technology solutions across Trisura’s North American platform, serving as a liaison between business leadership and IT to ensure systems, data, and processes support efficient, scalable, high-quality operations. The position supports Structured Solutions and Ceded Reinsurance by enabling the platforms, data, and integrations needed to onboard partners efficiently and manage program performance at scale. The Business Technology Lead works with Engineering, PMO, Data & AI, IT Operations, and Information Security teams. The role includes developing technology roadmaps, improving business processes, prioritizing technology initiatives, tracking results, managing technology vendors and platforms, and supporting adoption of new technologies and processes. The posting describes the position as hybrid in Chicago and states that remote work is not available.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in insurance or technology roles supporting insurance functions.
Strong understanding of the end-to-end software lifecycle and related systems.
Experience leading technology or process improvement initiatives in a complex environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience working with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with cloud-based systems, data platforms, and integration patterns.

Experience with AI, automation, or advanced analytics in insurance operations.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary liaison between business leadership and IT, translating business objectives into technology strategies and solutions.
Develop and maintain a technology roadmap aligned with business priorities and enterprise IT strategy.
Lead initiatives to optimize and automate business processes, reducing cycle times, manual effort, and operational inefficiencies.
Oversee delivery of business-related initiatives in partnership with Engineering, PMO, Data & AI, and IT Operations teams.
Collaborate with Data & AI teams to introduce advanced analytics, automation, and AI-driven capabilities in technology solutions.
Manage demand intake and prioritization for technology initiatives based on business value, ROI, and strategic alignment.
Establish and track success metrics, including cycle time, cost, quality, and customer experience, for initiatives.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to validate value realization and drive continuous improvement.
Manage and rationalize technology vendors and platforms, ensuring integration, performance, and alignment with enterprise standards.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and data privacy requirements in partnership with Information Security teams.
Drive adoption of new technologies and processes through change management and stakeholder engagement.
