The University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Business Systems Analyst 3 - Central. The Business Systems Analyst 3 - Central (A) collects detailed data and provides analysis to assist in the development of technology plans and strategies that enhance overall performance, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies. The Business Systems Analyst 3 - Central (A) analyzes established operations, systems, methods, practices, and procedures to evaluate their effectiveness and ultimately make recommendations for improvements. Additionally, the Business Systems Analyst 3 - Central (A) integrates people, equipment, facilities, and other resources to improve work results, operating efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity. This incumbent assists in the design, delivery, and improvement of in-house software applications, training programs, and related courseware. The Business Systems Analyst 3 serves as an accomplished and forward-thinking lead, delivering advanced and secure technological solutions. Responsibilities include intake management, requirements analysis, configuration, integration, customization, testing, training, and post-deployment support. This position emphasizes automation, process simplification, and enhancement of user experience and user experience design. Partners with key stakeholders and subject matter experts in the Business School to plan, implement, and maintain assigned projects and systems. Facilitates decisions regarding the prioritization of projects and backlog items for implementation. Organizes stakeholder meetings and distributes meeting minutes that document decisions and action items. Serves as a liaison to other departments, vendors, and external parties to complete assignments. Works in partnership with project managers and development teams on assigned projects. Contributes to all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, prototyping, design, development, conversion, testing, and deployment. Creates clear and detailed business requirements documentation, including process diagrams. Uses strategic planning and internal analytics tools with a high level of proficiency. Configures and manages Slate and related technology portals, rules, workflows, queries, forms, events, and automation to support recruitment and enrollment efforts. Designs, develops, and maintains Slate and related functionality using native features, and SQL to enhance system capabilities and efficiency. Provides support and interim execution on email sends, query building, and automated campaign updates for the marketing team. Proactively analyzes performance, workflows, and user feedback to identify emerging issues, address risks, and recommend improvements. Identifies and develops future Slate enhancements that improve workflows, simplify processes, and optimize the user experience. Stays current on industry trends and new technologies related to admissions systems and processes. Performs ad hoc data analysis and reporting to support management decision-making. Develops dashboards or reporting solutions for leadership and end users. Provides training and ongoing support to users of assigned systems.
