About The Position

The Business System Analyst - Oracle EBS/ Cloud Finance will join Motorola Solutions’ Enterprise Core Technology group, supporting the global Finance Organization. The team transforms, maintains, and enhances core financial systems across Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion Cloud. The role works at the intersection of business strategy and technology, partnering with Finance business leaders and IT counterparts to adopt industry best practices, simplify financial operations, and implement scalable digital solutions. The analyst contributes to transformation initiatives and day-to-day operations by translating complex business needs into robust, configurable, and future-ready technology solutions. The role is a hybrid of functional (80%) and technical (20%) responsibilities in a fast-paced Agile environment, spanning requirements, process analysis, cross-functional delivery, system support, and multiple concurrent projects. The position is remote and requires residence in the United States within Eastern or Central time zones; the Chicagoland area is preferred. Travel is under 10%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline; the basic requirements specify a bachelor’s degree.
8+ years of professional experience in business systems analysis and IT consulting.
4+ years of experience leading or directly managing a team.
4+ years of hands-on experience supporting Oracle R12 EBS or Oracle Fusion Cloud applications, with specific depth in financial processes within Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) modules.
4+ years of strong functional experience in supply chain-heavy financial accounting, including revenue recognition, customer billing, supplier invoicing, and Intercompany transactions tied to physical goods, subscriptions, and bundled offers.
Must reside in the United States within Eastern or Central time zones.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into clear functional specifications and design documentation.
Conduct fit/gap analyses across finance workflows, evaluate customization needs against standard capabilities, and advocate for process standardization to minimize custom extensions.
Partner with internal business users and lead external implementation vendors and partners to deliver user-centric solutions aligned with industry best practices.
Investigate and debug complex system behaviors, explain technical root causes to non-technical stakeholders, and deliver effective resolutions.
Work in an Agile environment while balancing priorities across multiple projects, continuous enhancements, and operational tasks.
