About The Position

SMX is seeking accomplished Business Analysts to collect, document, and analyze business requirements and configure Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) solutions. Key responsibilities include gathering requirements, designing and implementing system solutions, providing functional support, performing testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and align the system with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Active clearance or public trust based on sponsor.
  • iProcurement, iSupplier, Trading Partners, and Payables experience.
  • Understanding of accounting and Subledger Accounting (SLA)
  • Experience in tailoring Oracle Application to meet client requirements
  • Familiarity with Oracle 12.2.x application schema and able to create queries
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, testing, and solution design.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience. Directly related postgraduate study may be substituted for experience at the rate of three credit hours for three months of experience up to 36 credit hours.
  • Exposure creating and maintaining training documentation
  • Experience with MyOracleSupport and resolving Service Request (SR)

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle certifications, such as OCP for EBS R12 preferred.
  • Federal financials / LOA understanding
  • Oracle Cloud development and Oracle APEX experience.
  • Familiarity with Project costing
  • Oracle EBS core financial accounting knowledge
  • BS in accounting or procurement officer experience
  • Experience interfacing with external suppliers and SAMS.gov

Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new features, enhancements, and configurations in Oracle EBS.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and design system solutions that leverage Oracle EBS functionality.
  • Configure and set up Oracle EBS modules to meet business requirements and support projects through to production.
  • Create test plans, scripts, and cases, and perform functional testing and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Provide ongoing support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, analyze problems, and coordinate resolutions with technical teams.
  • Act as a bridge between business units and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and successful integration of solutions.
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using Oracle EBS.
  • Develop system and user documentation and deliver training to help users adopt new functionalities.
