Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. The Business Project Manager – AMD & Others is responsible for leading cross-functional execution in support of customer commitments, business priorities, and account growth across both the Photonics Connectivity Solutions (PCS) and Data Center Business Unit (DCBU) organizations. This role serves as a dedicated project management leader for the AMD & Other (non-NVIDIA and Broadcom) accounts, focused on driving alignment, execution, and accountability across a complex, fast-paced, customer-driven environment. This position is dedicated exclusively to AMD & Others and is responsible for ensuring that internal teams are aligned and operating effectively to meet critical deliverables, contractual obligations, and strategic account priorities. The role will work closely with the AMD Business Director and key leaders across the organization to coordinate activities, remove roadblocks, track milestones, and drive timely resolution of issues that impact customer execution. The Director will lead a broad range of project management activities, including cross-functional planning, action tracking, risk management, executive reporting, and coordination of deliverables across Product Line Management, Account Management, Customer Experience, Marketing, Technology, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other key functions. The role requires a high degree of independence, strong organizational judgment, and the ability to convert business priorities into structured execution plans. In the near term, this role will focus primarily on strengthening internal execution, improving issue resolution, driving integration across PCS and DCBU, and increasing operational discipline in support of AMD & other customer commitments. Over time, the role may expand to include greater involvement in external and customer-facing project coordination as business needs evolve.
