Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate. This role will support our Gainesville, GA Soybean Processing Plant and will be onsite majority of the time (4-5 days a week). We are not considering relocation for this role at this time. The Business Operations Supply Chain Administrative Assistant independently plans, organizes, prioritizes, and coordinates administrative and operational support activities for Cargill’s Gainesville, GA Soybean Processing facility. This role serves as a key business partner to plant leadership by managing office administration, vendor relationships, site communications, compliance documentation, and business operations support. The position coordinates cross-functional activities with Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Safety, and Information Technology to ensure efficient day-to-day facility operations while supporting compliance, reporting, vendor management, employee engagement, and administrative excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting Human Resources, Accounting, Safety or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience managing office administration activities, vendor relationships and service agreements.
  • Experience coordinating employee events, communications and site engagement activities.
  • Experience with month-end processing, reporting and budget management.
  • Previous experience with SAP.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel).
  • Previous experience with Kronos.

Responsibilities

  • Apply detailed knowledge of department operations and infrastructure, policies and procedures to perform moderately complex administrative processes, including document management, record retention and compliance activities.
  • Solicit, collect and organize documentation and data to perform moderately complex data entry, reporting and month-end administrative processes within one or more systems.
  • Plan, coordinate and confirm logistics for meetings, travel, employee recognition activities and site events.
  • Manage office vendor and service providers, update digital communications and display boards across the site
  • Partner with Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology and plant operations teams to support routine administrative, reporting and operational activities.
  • Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
