About The Position

Bezos.ai is a Fulfilment-as-a-Service platform that connects online sellers’ sales channels with a global network of warehouse and carrier partners. The Business Operations Manager will own a meaningful part of operations end-to-end and build tools, automations, and playbooks that enable the network to scale without adding headcount. The role owns the platform’s daily operational heartbeat: resolving tickets within SLA, reconciling data across systems, finding orders that fall through the cracks, holding warehouses and carriers to their SLAs, and turning recurring operational problems into lasting fixes. The work may involve building Claude skills or agents, Retool dashboards, and Make automations. In the first 90 days, the successful candidate is expected to own daily cross-system reconciliation and bring unresolved order exceptions close to zero; ship at least one automation, Claude skill, or agent that removes a recurring manual task; independently manage performance reviews and invoice reconciliation for part of the warehouse or carrier portfolio; and improve at least one company OKR—despatch rate, contact rate, or resolution time—and present it in the weekly metrics review.

Requirements

  • Experience using Claude or an equivalent tool to build autonomous skills, agents, or automated workflows beyond chat; must be able to demonstrate what was built, what it does unattended, and where human oversight is retained.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, solve complex problems end-to-end with light guidance, and take ownership of key results.
  • A degree in a quantitative discipline such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science, or clearly demonstrated equivalent ability; heavily quantitative economics, finance, or social-science study is also relevant.
  • A track record of measurable impact, with specific quantified outcomes such as cost reductions, KPI improvements, or faster processes.
  • A builder who can permanently fix broken processes by building tools, commissioning their development, or redesigning processes; evidence of systems, automations, dashboards, or playbooks that others rely on.
  • Ability to thrive in startup ambiguity, move quickly, own outcomes end-to-end, and take on a broad remit.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including presenting findings simply and giving actionable next steps.

Nice To Haves

  • E-commerce, logistics, third-party logistics (3PL), or supply-chain experience.
  • Light coding experience in Python, SQL, or JavaScript, or experience with no-code tools such as Make, Zapier, Retool, or Airtable.
  • Experience working with external partners or vendors against SLAs.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or managing one or two people.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile the Bezos Platform, WMS, and Operations Dashboard daily, and find and resolve missing, stuck, or mismatched orders before sellers notice.
  • Monitor warehouse and carrier performance against SLAs; chase and escalate performance issues and reconcile invoices against rate cards.
  • Build Claude skills or agents, automations, and dashboards to replace manual, repetitive work and help the team scale output without adding headcount.
  • Resolve operational seller tickets quickly, identify root causes, and fix issues upstream to prevent recurrence.
  • Own daily cross-system reconciliation and reduce unresolved order exceptions to near zero.
  • Take ownership of part of the warehouse or carrier portfolio, including independently running performance reviews and invoice reconciliation.
  • Improve at least one company OKR, such as despatch rate, contact rate, or resolution time, and present progress in the weekly metrics review.

  • Mental health support through Spill.
  • Free Headspace subscription.
  • Opportunity for growth and personal development.
