Business Operations Manager

Campfire•San Francisco, CA
•$150,000 - $180,000

About The Position

Campfire is building modern accounting software for startups and mid-size tech companies. The Business Operations Manager will own the operating work behind the business and tackle high-stakes, often undefined problems from initial diagnosis through to a scalable solution. The role works directly with every team at Campfire and has authority to make decisions. The manager will build and run the company’s planning, goal-setting, and metrics cadence; define core metrics and own reporting for ARR, pipeline, bookings, retention, and spend; manage commercial contracts and vendors; and lead sales and go-to-market operations. The role also oversees company infrastructure, including insurance, office and real estate, compliance, and operating systems. Additional work includes special projects such as market launches, partnerships, monetization and packaging alongside the pricing lead, and board preparation. The role emphasizes replacing manual, spreadsheet-based processes with code, AI, and appropriate tools so operations can scale without adding headcount. Campfire values demonstrated ownership and results over pedigree. This position offers direct work with leadership on consequential decisions and broad exposure across finance, sales, legal, and operations.
