About The Position

The Business Management Associate, Retail and Pet Sales role is part of the North America Retail (NAR) business, a $11 billion retail food business in the U.S. and Canada with a diverse portfolio of iconic brands. NAR is a customer-centric organization aiming to be the undisputed leader in food and the most innovative food company in North America. The North America Pet segment focuses on winning, learning, and growing in the premium and super premium pet food market, aiming to be the undisputed leader with brands like Blue Buffalo. This role is designed to build foundational selling skills, product knowledge, and business analytics capabilities through structured curriculum and immersive field experiences, preparing associates for future Sales leadership roles within General Mills.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, open to all majors
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Minimum 18-year age qualification.

Responsibilities

Develop foundational selling skills and product knowledge through a structured curriculum and immersive field experiences.
Understand and utilize business dynamics and analytical tools to provide solution-based insights that influence decision-makers.
Leverage understanding of customer needs and business analytics to inform strategy development.
Partner with field sales to develop an understanding of customer needs, including analysis and recommendations to drive business performance.
Build internal and external relationships through cross-functional projects, trade shows, mentorships, and diversity organizations.
