About The Position

The Business Intelligence Platform Manager is the operational owner of the organization’s enterprise BI platform(s). The role executes the governance and operating model established by Business Process Optimization and manages day-to-day platform administration, solution development, data troubleshooting, security, lifecycle management, user enablement, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on manager-level position for a technically strong BI professional who translates business requirements into scalable workflows, datasets, dashboards, and reports while coordinating with Finance, Enterprise Data, IT, and business stakeholders. The Business Process Optimization Director retains ownership of enterprise BI strategy, governance direction, prioritization, and executive alignment; the BI Platform Manager converts that direction into reliable execution and measurable operational outcomes. The role administers enterprise platform settings, environments, licenses, users, permissions, and access controls; monitors platform health, data refreshes, integrations, capacity, and performance; and coordinates incident response. It architects and develops BI workflows and solutions, investigates data and reporting issues across the end-to-end data flow, executes governance and lifecycle standards, supports secure release management, and enables business users through training and guidance. The manager also maintains the BI Operational Scorecard and identifies improvements in reliability, governance, adoption, usability, automation, and business value. The position collaborates with Business Process Optimization on strategy execution and governance standards; Finance on financial definitions and reporting issues; Enterprise Data on data models, lineage, and quality; IT and Security on infrastructure, integrations, access, and resilience; and business stakeholders on requirements, validation, ownership, training, adoption, and value. Enterprise BI strategy and executive sponsorship, financial policy and official financial reporting, enterprise data architecture and ODH/Synapse ownership, and core infrastructure and cybersecurity policy remain outside this position. The job description may evolve as the enterprise BI ecosystem, data architecture, and business priorities change.

  • Demonstrated ability to architect workflows and build effective dashboards, reports, alerts, and operational analytics solutions.
  • Experience troubleshooting data-quality, refresh, integration, calculation, security, and performance issues across the end-to-end data flow.
  • Working knowledge of BI governance, metadata, lineage, certification, access management, release management, and asset lifecycle practices.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, requirements gathering, prioritization, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
