About The Position

Accountable is an online peer recovery provider that has supported over 10,000 people since 2020. The company is available in all 50 states and works with national health plans. Founded by individuals in recovery, Accountable offers clients weekly sessions with a peer coach, who has lived recovery experience, and provides access to a care team for messaging between sessions. The platform utilizes verified at-home toxicology, including Bluetooth-connected breathalyzers and guided saliva tests, to document progress. Care coordination keeps treatment programs and referring clinicians informed, and family support is integrated into the recovery process. A HIPAA-compliant platform includes a portal for referring programs and clinicians, offering a recovery dashboard with real-time toxicology results and engagement data. The company emphasizes earning referrals through outcomes, responsiveness, and trust, and does not engage in referral fees, per-head arrangements, or kickbacks.

Responsibilities

  • Build and work a territory plan with the leadership team covering the market's referral sources.
  • Segment the market, decide which accounts are worth deeper investment, and adjust as the field provides insights.
  • Focus on the treatment side: residential programs, detoxes, PHP/IOPs, outpatient programs, sober livings, and the discharge planners, case managers, admissions teams, clinical leaders, and alumni coordinators within them.
  • Build the clinical side: therapists, addiction medicine and psychiatry practices, primary care, and hospital social workers.
  • Add the legal and monitoring side where appropriate: interventionists, professional monitoring programs, drug courts, DUI and family law attorneys, probation, and parole.
  • Pursue employer and community accounts when they fit the plan: EAPs, safety-sensitive employers, and recovery community organizations.
  • Be in the field most of the week, expecting 15–20 real partner meetings per week once ramped.
  • Sell consultatively, understanding a referrer's client needs before pitching, and be willing to state when Accountable is not the right fit.
  • Run in-services and lunch-and-learns.
  • Attend coalition meetings, professional events, and conferences relevant to the market.
  • Stay close to every referral, ensuring a fast handoff, closing the loop with the partner, and protecting the company's reputation.
  • Track performance metrics, understand which activities create pipeline, which accounts convert, and how to adjust performance when off plan.
  • Log activity, opportunities, and market intelligence in the CRM on the same day.
  • Share learnings with the outreach team, including effective messaging, competitor activities, introductions, and unsuccessful approaches.
