About The Position

Omnify, a subsidiary of Lumify Inc., is a North American leader in advanced back-lighting systems and illuminated architectural lighting solutions. We design and manufacture innovative lighting platforms built around our patented LumiSheet® technology. We're looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate new sales opportunities and develop early-stage customer relationships. This role is critical to Omnify's sales engine — identifying potential customers, qualifying opportunities, and building pipeline for the Regional Sales team. It's ideal for someone motivated, curious, and eager to build a career in professional sales, working closely with Marketing and Regional Sales Managers to uncover project opportunities across North America.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of professional experience (sales, customer-facing, or business development roles preferred)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about new industries and products
  • High level of organization and discipline in managing outreach activities
  • Comfort initiating conversations with new prospects
  • Strong motivation to develop a career in professional sales

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM software an asset

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, email, and digital outreach
  • Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns
  • Identify and engage new potential customers within target markets
  • Re-engage dormant accounts to identify new opportunities
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs and projects
  • Qualify opportunities and gather key project information
  • Create and manage new accounts and contacts in the CRM
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach and opportunity development
