About The Position

The Business Development Representative receives, processes, and coordinates incoming sales inquiries, showroom floor requests, service requests, and internet queries. The role supports excellent customer service and sales generation by answering inbound calls and greeting visitors in a friendly, interested, and helpful manner. The representative works closely with Sales and Service departments to meet customers’ needs. Additional duties may be required on a routine basis; the description is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience in a similar position, such as administrative, clerical, call center, or customer service work.
Pleasant and courteous personality, helpful attitude, and friendly demeanor.
Professional and dependable.
Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills.
Strong phone and computer skills, including internet skills and Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of the automotive industry.
Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds.

Responsibilities

Manage incoming sales and service appointment inquiries by phone or internet, including scheduling appointments, confirming pending appointments, and following up on missed appointments.
Coordinate questions and issues with the appropriate department personnel.
Track sold vehicles and hot sheets.
Confirm special-order parts.
Help follow up with phone and internet sales leads.
Manage required paperwork and records and prepare documentation when needed.
Provide administrative assistance as needed.
Answer inbound calls and greet visitors in a friendly, interested, and helpful manner.
