About The Position

Superior Plastics is an employee-owned injection molding company serving industries such as automotive, consumer products, adhesive dispensing, childcare, appliances, and industrial equipment. We pride ourselves on quality, responsiveness, and helping customers reduce costs through smart manufacturing and automation. We're looking for a driven Business Development Representative to help generate and qualify new business opportunities. This role has competitive pay ranging from $60,000 - $80,000 per year. This person will focus on outbound prospecting, early-stage customer engagement, and setting up high-quality meetings for the sales team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to break into B2B sales or grow their career while gaining exposure to technical manufacturing and the sales process.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, especially over the phone.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software such as Excel and Word.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with outbound outreach.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in related field preferred but not required.
  • Experience with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Interest in manufacturing or technical sales is a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and identify potential customers across target industries.
  • Conduct outbound outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn, Zoominfo) to generate new opportunities.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on fit, project scope, and timing.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings for the sales team.
  • Gather key project details.
  • Support the sales team in preparing opportunities for quoting.
  • Maintain and track activity.
  • Consistent follow up to nurture early-stage opportunities.
  • Work with sales and management to collect necessary information for RFQ's.
  • Learn how injection molding projects are evaluated and quoted.
  • Learn current customers' quoting process as well as their quote forms and procedures.
  • Work with sales and internal teams to collect all necessary information for RFQs.
  • Help ensure opportunities are complete and properly qualified before entering the quoting stage.
  • Gain real-world experience in how new business moves from prospect → quote → production.
