About The Position
The Business Development Marketing Associate will work with the Office of Industry and Economic Partnerships within the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The associate will collaborate directly with the Office of Industry and Economic Partnerships marketing and business development staff and the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship licensing team. The role also involves working with faculty to scientifically review marketing collateral.
Requirements
- Life sciences background.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Primary research skills and knowledge.

- Knowledge and experience using social media and other platforms for marketing.
Responsibilities
- Create materials, such as non-confidential research and technology summaries, to market Pitt intellectual properties and technologies using online tools, including Copilot and other proprietary tools.
- Develop materials and marketing collateral to promote Pitt research to external industry and financial partners, including conference materials, using social media and the Pitt OIEP website.
- Conduct health sciences market research to provide insights into company and market needs, focusing on fields and therapeutic areas aligned with Pitt research strengths.
- Work with faculty on scientific review of marketing collateral.
