About The Position

This role is for a Business Development Manager within Pathfinder's Portfolio, specifically supporting the Staybridge Suites Houston Clear Lake and providing portfolio support for Aloft Austin Southwest and Holiday Inn Express Arboretum. Pathfinder offers a unique sales model focused on high-quality hotels with strong guest satisfaction. The role emphasizes spending time in the market, building relationships, and closing accounts, with administrative tasks handled by support teams. The company provides a structured sales process, including validated leads, pre-built proposals with storytelling and video, and sales leader-trained General Managers to protect selling time and support growth.

  • Candidates with a primary background in hotel or hospitality sales will not be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Own your market by prospecting extended stay and LNR accounts for Staybridge Suites, Aloft, and Holiday Inn Express, fueled by validated leads.
  • Support the portfolio by generating business for Staybridge Houston Clear Lake, with a special focus on extended stay demand.
  • Be the face of our hotels by spending most of your week in the field networking, conducting site visits, and making office drop-ins.
  • Capture opportunities by handling high-value inbound calls, qualifying quickly, and ensuring tailored follow-up.
  • Sell with storytelling using the "Dare to Compare" approach, highlighting unique advantages, testimonials, and videos.
  • Create Peak Moments by going beyond service to surprise and delight prospects, turning ordinary interactions into memorable stories.
  • Keep getting better by joining weekly Power Hours, practice sessions, and coaching for skill-building.
