Job Description Overview U.S. Bank is seeking a strategic, relationship‑driven Business Development Manager to support growth in our Co‑Brand Credit Card portfolio. This role plays a key part in expanding U.S. Bank’s consumer and small business card business by identifying, evaluating, and securing new co‑brand partnerships for our Payments: Consumer & SMB business line. The ideal candidate brings relevant card program management and/or business development experience, strong communication skills and financial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively across a large organization.

  • 5–10+ years of experience in payments-related business development or co-brand partnerships
  • Strong understanding of co‑brand program economics and credit card P&Ls
  • Demonstrated success building executive‑level relationships and managing complex deal cycles.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across a matrixed environment and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with experience developing financial models and business cases.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new co‑brand partnership opportunities across industries such as financial services, T&E, automotive, and small business verticals
  • Lead the end‑to‑end business development lifecycle for assigned deals – including prospecting, pitch development, RFP responses, and contract negotiation.
  • Build compelling partnership proposals that clearly articulate U.S. Bank’s value proposition and differentiation
  • Collaborate with multiple internal groups across the bank -- including product development, marketing, risk management, finance, and relationship management to ensure U.S. Bank is putting forth compelling and market-leading proposals
