Hybron•Hawthorne, CA

About The Position

Hybron, Inc. is an advanced manufacturing startup that has developed a method for producing fiber-reinforced polymer composites. Its process enables complex, lightweight components to be produced with greater strength and at 10 to 100 times the speed of traditional composites manufacturing. After testing its first composite compressor blades in a fighter jet engine, Hybron is expanding into aerospace, defense, energy, and other commercial markets. Hybron is seeking an MBA student for a 2027 Business Development Internship at its Hawthorne facility. The intern will work directly with the business development team, co-founders, and engineering team to identify opportunities, develop customer relationships, and support strategic growth in U.S. and international markets. The role spans market strategy, government opportunity research, commercial analysis, and execution, helping move opportunities from initial research and outreach through customer evaluation, proposals, and partnership development. The intern will also own a defined growth project and present findings and recommended next steps to leadership. The internship offers direct mentorship from the business development team and the CEO/co-founder and CTO/co-founder, as well as exposure to engineering, customers, and strategic partners. It provides practical experience in government contracting, international business, commercial negotiations, and bringing advanced manufacturing technology to market. The intern will complete a focused project, such as a market-entry recommendation, prioritized customer pipeline, or government opportunity pursuit plan, and present it to leadership.
