About The Position

This role is for a Business Development professional focused on growing QPS' business with pharmaceutical and biotech companies in their assigned territory. The position is based in the United States and is responsible for securing full package and stand-alone studies to be conducted at QPS' India location. QPS assists pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies with drug development by providing a full range of services including Neuropharmacology, DMPK, Toxicology, Bioanalysis, Translational Medicine, Early Phase Clinical, and Phase II-IV Clinical Research. Requirements

  • Combination of relevant education and experience that provides sufficient knowledge and skills to ensure success in this role, such as: University/College degree in a relevant scientific discipline, and/or Experience in CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech sales or operations.
  • Experience selling to Indian CROs from North America preferred.
  • Knowledge of the global pharma/biotech industry and generic product development.
  • Proven track record in sales, relationship-building, and closing deals.
  • Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, able to work independently and in a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, web conferencing, and CRM tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior BD experience supporting India-based CROs strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales plan to meet or exceed targets for QPS India.
  • Identify, prospect, and engage new and existing clients through networking, cold-calling, presentations, site visits, and industry events.
  • Secure full-package BA/BE studies, derm safety studies, stand-alone bioanalysis projects, patient PK/PD studies, and clinical end-point studies.
  • Manage the sales cycle from lead generation to contract signature, including RFPs, RFIs, feasibility requests, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with decision-makers across accounts.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and QPS India for all business development activities.
  • Collaborate closely with the operations and project management teams in India to ensure client requirements are met.
  • Conduct annual account planning and forecasting to align with yearly target goals.
  • Identify and develop additional market segment opportunities in partnership with the General Manager and Operations Head.
  • Travel 50% or more as required, including North America, Europe, and India.
