About The Position

Corning is seeking a Business Development Analyst to identify new business opportunities, evaluate markets, and support business case development. This role involves market research, competitive analysis, and collaboration with internal teams to drive growth initiatives. The analyst will also prepare materials for customer interactions and support go-to-market strategies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in STEM, business, or related field.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel up to 15–20%.

1+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, market analysis, commercial support, or technical industry roles.
Experience in materials, chemicals, manufacturing, or other technical industries.
Exposure to business development, product management, or sales support.

Responsibilities

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support identification of new business opportunities.
Assist in evaluating target markets, customers, and applications within Critical Materials.
Support development of business cases, presentations, and internal recommendations.
Track business development opportunities, pipeline activity, and key follow-up actions.
Coordinate with internal teams to support customer opportunities and growth initiatives.
Prepare materials for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
Support go-to-market planning, reporting, and commercial analytics.
Assist with project coordination for externally funded opportunities and related documentation.
Develops the business case, value proposition, and initial marketing strategy for emerging programs.
