About The Position

The Business Continuity Management Expert (BCME) will be responsible for supporting Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) integration, identifying gaps, and proposing improvements. This role involves extensive data consolidation and analysis, quality assurance, and documentation management. The expert will also provide support for governance activities, audit readiness, and administrative tasks for the BCMS Task Force. The position is based at Frontex Headquarters in Warsaw, with a hybrid work arrangement (60% onsite, 40% remote), and requires candidates to be based within two hours of Warsaw. The mission duration is 48 months.

Requirements

  • Minimum level of education: Level 7.
  • Minimum English language skills (CEFR): C1.
  • Minimum IT relevant professional experience (years): 3 years.
  • Minimum experience at similar position (years): 2 years in relevant IT roles.
  • ITIL® 4 Foundation (or higher) or equivalent certification, OR minimum 1 additional year of IT relevant professional experience in IT Service Management, IT operations, or support to critical IT services.
  • Business Continuity Management – Foundation or equivalent certification, OR minimum 2 additional years of experience at a similar position.
  • Business Analysis certification at foundation/entry level (e.g. ECBA, UML Professional, BPM 2 or equivalent) or equivalent certification, OR minimum 1 additional year of experience in business analysis or process analysis.
  • PRINCE2® Foundation or PM² (PM Square) certification or equivalent certification, OR minimum 1 additional year of IT relevant professional experience.
  • At least one (1) certification from the list above is mandatory and cannot be compensated with professional experience. If at least one certification is provided, the remaining certifications may be compensated with relevant professional experience.
  • Any equivalent certification must be internationally recognized and subject to acceptance by the Contracting Authority.
  • Extensive practical experience in Business Continuity Management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Business Continuity Management frameworks, processes, strategy development, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Recovery Time Objective (RTO), Recovery Point Objective (RPO), Critical Business Functions (CBF), etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management frameworks, assessments, analysis, mitigation strategies, methodologies, tools, standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Knowledge and experience in data consolidation and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of business analysis, business process modelling, and modelling notations/tools such as UML and BPMN.
  • Knowledge in applying project management methodologies and methods.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and project lifecycle phases.
  • Practical knowledge of administrative tools such as Microsoft Office and related applications.
  • High level of initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Performing baseline analysis of BCMS documentation.
  • Supporting BCMS integration activities across the organization.
  • Identifying gaps and proposing improvement actions related to BCMS processes and documentation.
  • Consolidating and analysing BCMS-related data.
  • Performing consistency and alignment controls across documentation and processes.
  • Ensuring quality assurance and document standardisation.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and consolidating BCMS documentation and evidence.
  • Supporting governance activities and audit readiness initiatives.
  • Providing administrative and operational support to the BCMS Task Force.
  • Other specific duties as assigned by team leader.
