About The Position

The Business Consultant II assists with client and business development and business consulting under minimal supervision. Reviews client feedback. Develops quality assessments, workshops, and business outreach events. Provides guidance and trains entry-level business consultants. Assesses customer needs and responds in a variety of ways to create effective solutions for the client to create economic impact. Works with student teams for client research and service delivery. Makes direct visits to client companies and resource network partners and assists in conducting training programs and outreach for the SBDC Network.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of business consulting experience; OR master's degree and some business consulting experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of small business planning and operations.
• Must have valid U.S. driver's license.
• Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies.
• Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and information obtained from social media and other internet sources.
