About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Banker in Consumer Banking and Lending to build, maintain, and grow relationships with business banking clients. The role manages a portfolio of low- to moderately complex business clients, typically with $500,000 to $2 million in annual sales, and owns the client journey from onboarding and relationship deepening through new-client acquisition. The banker delivers a client-centric experience and acts as a trusted advisor, providing tailored financial recommendations and connecting business owners with relevant banking products and services. The position includes frequent customer contact and may involve assessing needs and referring customers interested in dwelling-secured products to a SAFE team member. The banker assists customers but does not take applications or offer or negotiate terms for dwelling-secured transactions. The role requires Loan Originator registration at the time of employment and compliance with applicable Consumer Financial Protection Bureau requirements and Wells Fargo policies. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The position is based at the Orlando, Florida branch listed in the posting. Banker placement may be within 10 miles of the branch to which the candidate applies.

Requirements

At least 2 years of financial services, sales, or customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Must obtain Loan Originator registration at the time of employment and meet applicable regulatory qualification requirements, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards.
Must meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if necessary.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of in-branch business banking experience.
At least 1 year of experience managing a dedicated book of small-business customers across an assigned territory.
Proficiency in proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
Experience using business acumen to provide financial-services consultation to business customers.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of bank lending programs, credit policies, and specialty products.
High motivation and ability to meet team objectives while maintaining individual performance.
Ability to manage expectations and follow up with customers and Wells Fargo partners.
Customer-service focus and experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
Knowledge of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention.
Ability to educate customers about technology and communicate the value of mobile banking options.
Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and employees.
Experience mentoring and peer-coaching others.
Bilingual Spanish.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow a portfolio of low- to moderately complex business clients, typically with $500,000 to $2 million in annual sales, through onboarding, relationship deepening, and new-client acquisition.
Deliver a branded, client-centric experience that supports growth and positions Wells Fargo as a trusted partner.
Understand and offer Wells Fargo financial solutions and digital services, using available tools and product knowledge to make tailored recommendations.
Analyze clients’ operations, goals, priorities, and financial needs to recommend appropriate solutions while following policies and procedures.
Offer business accounts, credit, treasury services, and digital tools.
Prospect and network to build relationships with external and internal partners, generate high-quality referrals, and grow the small-business customer base.
Collaborate with internal banking channels to support business owners and develop the broader client relationship.
Partner with Relationship Managers and Lending Officers on complex structures and align with underwriting policies and risk guidelines.
Assess customer needs and refer customers interested in dwelling-secured products to a SAFE team member; do not take applications or offer or negotiate transaction terms.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, procedures, escalation requirements, and regulatory obligations.
