About The Position

As a Business Analyst in our Group IT Digital Products and AI team, you'll be a pivotal force in shaping and delivering innovative solutions that drive Rentokil Initial forward. Your primary responsibilities will include strategic investigation and opportunity identification, high-level collaboration and stakeholder management, bridging business and technology, documentation and agile delivery, business readiness and change management, and supporting the business in defining and preparing user acceptance test scenarios. You will elicit, analyze, and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements, craft clear User Stories and acceptance criteria, analyze business processes, and actively participate in agile ceremonies. You will also conduct business impact assessments, develop business readiness plans, and assess user readiness for upcoming changes. Additionally, you will provide ongoing clarification to development and testing teams, support the user community with transition and change planning, and track progress against business readiness targets. You will also support the business in defining and preparing user acceptance test scenarios and provide essential support as they take responsibility for test execution.

Requirements

  • Has achieved proficiency in the tasks of Business analysis with 3+ years experience in a Business Analysis role.
  • Domain level experience within the relevant area.
  • Performs work activities covering technical, financial and quality aspects.
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and is fully experienced at dealing with business users.
  • Possesses a broad understanding of business and business skills, and understands the significance of commercial constraints.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Agile frameworks and development life-cycles.
  • Understands the interdependencies of business processes and information systems.
  • Has achieved proficiency in the task of Requirements definition and management.
  • Is experienced in communicating with stakeholders at all levels, singly and in groups.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in investigative work to pinpoint significant business opportunities and assist in defining effective new or improved business processes.
  • Specify how these improvements can be realized through advancements in information systems, data management, and operational practices.
  • Collaborate extensively with senior client and IT staff on strategic studies, detailed requirements specifications, and feasibility analyses.
  • Ensure all stakeholder perspectives are thoroughly considered, verified, and validated, and that priorities align with overarching business objectives.
  • Leverage business acumen to assess and advise on the practicality of different solution alternatives, skilfully integrating technical possibilities with operational realities.
  • Take ownership of the detailed specification and modelling of recommended solutions, applying relevant resources, standards, methods, and tools.
  • Maintain strong relationships with software engineering and service delivery teams, playing a full part in bringing systems to successful implementation.
  • Eliciting, analysing, and documenting detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Crafting clear, concise, and actionable User Stories and acceptance criteria that accurately represent business needs and guide development teams.
  • Analysing current and future state business processes, identifying gaps, and proposing optimisations.
  • Apply established standards, methods, and tools effectively to produce consistently high-quality documentation, covering both technical details and descriptive aspects.
  • Actively participate in planning and facilitating meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement throughout system investigations and subsequent development work.
  • Working closely with Product Owners to refine and groom the product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-defined, prioritised, and ready for development.
  • Participating actively in agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to provide clarity and context to the development team.
  • Conduct comprehensive business impact assessments to understand how proposed changes will affect business units and individual roles.
  • Providing ongoing clarification to development and testing teams during sprints to ensure solutions align with business intent.
  • Develop and execute business readiness plans, encompassing IT deployment, data migration, capability development (training and engagement), and all necessary activities to integrate new processes or roles into daily operations.
  • Assess the readiness levels of business users for upcoming changes, identify any gaps, and create and implement action plans to close these gaps before go-live.
  • Assist the user community with transition support and change planning, working closely with the project team.
  • Track and report on progress against business readiness targets, business engagement activities, training design and deployment, key operational metrics, and measures of return to productivity.
  • Supporting the business in defining and preparing user acceptance test scenarios, ensuring they can effectively validate solutions against their needs, providing essential support as they take responsibility for test execution.
