About The Position
The Business Analyst will support enterprise applications, with a focus on gathering and documenting business and functional requirements. The role involves working in Agile/Scrum environments and supporting software development teams, including .NET-based teams where applicable. The position is based in Chicago, Illinois, with a hybrid arrangement requiring 2–3 days at the client location.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise applications.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Business requirements documentation, including building functional requirements.
- JIRA and experience writing user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Process mapping and workflow analysis.
- User story development and acceptance criteria definition.
- UAT planning and execution.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Figma or similar wireframe management tools.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting banking, treasury management, financial operations, payment processing, or wire transfer applications.
- Knowledge of domestic and international wire transfer workflows.
- Experience working with approval-based workflow applications.
- Familiarity with regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements within financial services.
- Experience supporting .NET-based application development teams.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and relational databases.
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent certification.
- SQL querying and data analysis.
- Visio, Lucidchart, or other process modeling tools.
- Reporting and dashboard tools.
- Familiarity with financial systems, treasury platforms, wire processing, and payment systems.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business and functional requirements.
- Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria.
- Perform business process analysis, process mapping, and workflow analysis.
- Plan and execute user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Engage and facilitate communication with stakeholders.
- Manage requirements and support change management and process improvement.
- Collaborate with teams and maintain clear, detailed documentation.
- Support enterprise applications and software development teams.
