About The Position

We are seeking a senior Business Analyst with over 10 years of experience to partner with front, middle, and back-office stakeholders. The role involves gathering, documenting, and prioritizing business and functional requirements, and translating these needs into user stories, functional specifications, and process/data flow diagrams for engineering and vendor teams. The ideal candidate will have exposure to AI, recent capital markets experience (preferably across front, middle, and back office), and excellent communication skills. This position starts as a 6-month project with a high likelihood of extension for another year. The client is looking for candidates with good tenure and/or long project history, and local candidates are preferred. This role is critical due to a recent resignation and an urgent project timeline.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally supporting capital markets, asset management, or financial services technology functions
  • Strong requirements-gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills (BRDs, user stories, workflow diagrams)
  • Experience working directly with front-office, operations, or finance stakeholders
  • Proficiency with SQL and/or data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Experience within private credit, direct lending, or hedge fund environments
  • Exposure to portfolio/loan management systems (e.g., WSO, Geneva, Advent, Allvue) or trade/order management platforms
  • General understanding of how AI/generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLM-based automation, RPA) can be implemented in a corporate/financial services setting — no deep technical AI background required, but comfort evaluating use cases and vendor tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • Candidates need to have exposure to AI even if it is in personal projects.
  • Candidates need to have recent capital markets experience (preferred – front middle and back office)
  • Candidates must have good tenure and/or long projects.
  • Candidates with recent local projects.
