About The Position

Nexiva Inc. is seeking two experienced Business Analyst 3 professionals to support enterprise application enhancement and modernization initiatives. The selected candidates will collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams to gather, analyze, document, and manage business and system requirements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role is focused on delivering high-quality business analysis for projects that improve outcomes for Texas students.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Business Analysis experience.
• 8+ years of experience gathering requirements and creating detailed system requirements.
• 8+ years of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
• 8+ years of business process re-engineering and workflow improvement.
• 8+ years of experience writing user stories and use cases.
• 8+ years of experience creating wireframes and mockups using UX best practices.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Experience working with educational agencies (TEA, federal, state, local education agencies, or education vendors).
• 2+ years of experience with Atlassian Jira.
• 2+ years of experience with Modern Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process analysis.
• Document functional and business requirements, user stories, use cases, and software requirement specifications.
• Create wireframes and mockups that align with UX best practices.
• Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and other requirements elicitation activities.
• Analyze business processes and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Manage requirements, traceability, and change requests using Jira and Modern Requirements.
• Validate implemented solutions to ensure business requirements are met.
• Mentor junior Business Analysts and promote business analysis best practices.
