About The Position

The Business Analyst Summer Intern within our Technology & Operations business unit will be assigned to a variety of teams supporting institutional investors, research analysts, portfolio managers, client relationship managers, traders, wholesalers, and more. You will work closely with Sr. Business Analysts and Project Managers while learning key business processes, AllianceBernstein’s products and services, and develop an understanding of the inner workings of how an investment management firm is powered by technology. Internship projects may include: Streamlining and simplifying the Trading Order Management process, Applying statistical and machine learning techniques used in the investment decision making process, Re-designing aspects of client reporting, Explore opportunities for better automation. Summer Interns contribute to and learn from AB’s innovative use of technology, deep research capabilities, global presence, and breadth of investment management expertise. The flat corporate structure allows Interns to become deeply integrated into the team and contribute meaningfully to investment decision-making early on in their careers.

Requirements

  • December 2026 through May/June 2027 Bachelor’s degree candidates in computer science, engineering, math, finance, economics, business, or liberal arts
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (must be able to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future)
  • Candidates must be available to work full-time from June through August
  • Selected candidates will need to successfully complete a thorough background check
  • It is not permissible to simultaneously take academic classes or hold other employment that will conflict with the internship schedule
  • Keen interest in project management, particularly with the scoping of projects, capturing and documenting requirements, and defining use cases, user interfaces, and testing scenarios
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SQL and/or other programming languages is a plus
  • Interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve business processes, enhance decision-making, identify automation opportunities, and deliver innovative solutions
