About The Position

Azusa Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst IV to join our team of talented consultants. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company comprised of highly qualified, highly impactful, and multi-talented individuals. This position supports IT systems for the New York City Department of Social Services (DSS)/Information Technology Services (ITS). DSS has a constant increased need for the provision of full systems life cycle applications development on various computer platforms, including a variety of client eligibility and recertification systems, employment/work engagement services, claims systems, etc., that are critical to the operation and functioning of DSS programs, requiring periodic refinements to maintain the applications at optimum service levels. Having a project portfolio which properly reflects the user’s business needs and DSS’ workload is crucial. Therefore, there is a need for IT consulting resources for the expanding responsibilities at DSS.

Requirements

A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets: Oracle and MS SQL Server SQL and PL/SQL Microsoft Power BI, MS Excel, VB Script

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field

Responsibilities

Assist in managing project execution from start through completion
Create business reports summarizing key metrics relevant to data post-import from reporting databases
Import key data points on various key factors from multiple reporting sources including reporting databases, Enterprise data warehouse etc.
Create adhoc reports based on data metrics
Creating business reports for Finance including tracking with relevant metrics
Fulfil role as Microsoft Power BI SME, advising on creation of business reports, workspace management etc. within the new Microsoft Power BI framework, as needed
Create new business reports, datasets and dashboards in Power BI, including paginated reports as needed
