About The Position

This role supports senior management by managing metrics reporting and performing data mining and big data analysis to provide strategic advice on business forecast models. The analyst will collect business use cases, research and evaluate opportunities to help Amazon leverage its data to support business functions through complicated mathematical modeling. Responsibilities include analyzing forecast and metrics data, automating reports for promotional and project launch campaigns, and utilizing database technologies like SQL, ETL, and Oracle to design, develop, and evaluate innovative business intelligence tools and automated reports for campaign targeting and optimization. The role involves transforming complicated business problems into mathematics modeling and providing data-driven solutions, performing statistical analysis (clustering, cross-session and panel data regression using R, SAS, STATA, and SPSS), and establishing scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, validation, and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • One year of experience in the job offered or as a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Miner or a related occupation.
  • One year of experience using database technologies, including SQL, ETL or Oracle.
  • One year of experience processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources including Kibana, OBIEE, Datanet or equivalent data extraction tool.
  • One year of experience conducting custom data analysis to inform data driven decisions using tools such as R, Python, or Excel.
  • One year of experience developing automated reporting using advanced MS Excel skills including but not limited to macros and erlang knowledge.
  • One year of experience maintaining data integrity to assure input/output accuracy in various databases, such as Redshift or Andes.
