Requirements

  • Functional Knowledge: Understanding employee life cycle processes (e.g., hire to retire)
  • Familiarity with Workday reporting tools
  • Expertise working with HR COEs (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Shared Services)
  • Business Expertise: Understanding of how HR Technology supports the broader organizational goals.
  • Ability to align Workday solutions with HR COE strategies
  • Process Improvement & Optimization: Expertise in business process analysis and redesign, especially within HR functions
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend technology-enabled solutions that improve employee experience and data accuracy
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong written communication for creating business requirements, documentation, and stakeholder updates
  • Active listening to understand stakeholder needs and concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements discovery sessions with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and strategic priorities
  • Translate business objectives into clear, actionable requirements aligned with Workday capabilities and enterprise standards
  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation (e.g., BRDs, functional specifications, process flows)
  • Serve as a strategic liaison between HR COEs and GIS, translating functional business requirements into Workday system capabilities
  • Partner with GIS teams to validate the functional feasibility of proposed solutions and confirm they meet business requirements
  • Partner with employee experience team members to support the identification of enhancement opportunities within existing Workday functionality, improving user experience, data integrity, and process efficiency
  • Provide functional support across testing, release planning, and deployment to ensure successful delivery
  • Apply working knowledge of core HR processes (e.g., hire-to-retire, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards) to ensure Workday solutions reflect real business needs
