About The Position

The Business Analyst 1 supports business users, business processes, and business systems through process analysis, project management, and testing. The role helps improve the efficiency of existing and new processes by analyzing and optimizing processes, gathering functional requirements, building business cases as needed, and designing, defining, and documenting processes. The Business Analyst 1 also helps develop solutions for new business ideas and concepts through operational process changes and/or technology.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
0–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Adaptability and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Ability to operate office machinery, such as a copier, fax machine, and personal computer.
Valid Texas driver’s license that must be maintained.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
Ability to drive occasionally as needed, including to corporate headquarters.
Ability to sit for long periods and use a computer for extended periods.
Ability to work extended hours as needed or directed.
Ability to travel to conferences or training events as necessary or directed.

Responsibilities

Support business or technical clients in developing project business cases.
Collect and analyze data for potential business expansion.
Identify business opportunities and recommend process improvements to improve quality and meet efficiency goals.
Facilitate project activities and coordinate with other teams to support business outcomes.
Test business processes and recommend improvements.
Assist with coordinating user acceptance testing.
Determine and use efficient requirements-gathering methods, including interviews, focus groups, surveys, workshops, or reviews of existing documentation.
Assist with coordinating project meetings, interactive sessions, and team collaboration workshops.
Assist in developing training documents and programs.
Follow CoServ safety and operating rules, procedures, and guidelines, including reporting unsafe practices to a supervisor.
Follow CoServ information-security policies, procedures, and guidelines, including reporting suspected incidents to Tech Support.
Attend at least eight hours of required company training and employee development.
Perform other duties and activities as directed.
