About The Position

Elizabeth Care Center in Elizabeth, West Virginia, is seeking a dependable, compassionate PRN Bus Driver. The role provides safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for elders to medical appointments, community outings, and scheduled activities. The position works on an as-needed basis to support the community’s transportation needs and help elders maintain independence and participate in meaningful experiences.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to meet applicable licensing, vehicle operation, and insurance requirements.
Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach to care.
Ability to safely assist elders with mobility and transportation needs.
Dependability and flexibility to work on an as-needed schedule.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating passenger vehicles or accessible transportation vehicles.
Experience working with older adults or individuals with mobility limitations.

Responsibilities

Safely transport elders to and from medical appointments, outings, and scheduled activities.
Assist elders with safely entering and exiting the vehicle, including those using wheelchairs or mobility devices.
Secure wheelchairs and mobility equipment according to established safety procedures.
Conduct routine vehicle safety inspections and promptly report maintenance concerns.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming transportation environment.
Follow traffic laws, transportation procedures, and resident safety protocols.
Communicate professionally with elders, families, and team members.
Maintain accurate transportation records and documentation as required.
