Bus Driver - Regular Route
About The Position
Newton Community School District is hiring a Bus Driver for a regular school-day route. Routes run Monday through Friday and are 3 hours per day. Additional hours are available year-round for activity trips and extracurricular activities. The 2026–2027 hourly route base pay is $33.29; additional activity and extracurricular hours are paid at $21.12 per hour. Bus drivers receive IPERS retirement benefits, and CDL training is provided. The position is located in the district’s Transportation Department, with a start date in November 2026. Applicants with completed applications will be considered during screening. Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by the transportation supervisor overseeing the hiring, by phone or email. Applicants not selected for an interview will receive an email notification. Hired applicants must pass a DCI background check and meet pre-employment requirements.
