About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible School Bus Driver to safely transport passengers along designated routes or charters while providing excellent customer service. The role involves working with diverse populations, including children and individuals with special needs, and requires strong communication skills and basic mechanical knowledge.

Drivers operate vehicles on assigned routes and charters, inspect vehicles before and after trips, assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, maintain accurate records, and communicate with dispatchers and team members about route changes or passenger needs. They must follow traffic laws and regulations and address passenger questions or concerns.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical understanding to perform pre-trip inspections.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to pass background checks required by company policies.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a vehicle along assigned routes and charters, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist passengers, including children and people with disabilities, while boarding and disembarking.
• Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and route incidents.
• Communicate with dispatchers and team members about route changes or passenger needs.
• Provide customer service and address passengers’ questions or concerns.
• Comply with traffic laws and regulations while driving.
