About The Position
DAEOC is seeking dedicated individuals to transport pre-school students to Head Start locations. This role involves ensuring a safe and clean environment during transportation, maintaining the security and mechanical soundness of the bus, and potentially fulfilling custodial duties for full-time positions. Part-time bus driving roles are available, while full-time positions include benefits and require custodial assistance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three to six months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CDL (class A or B) driver's license valid in the state of Missouri with passenger endorsement.
- Must be at least 25 years old (per insurance company requirements).
- Must bring proof of degree (diploma or official transcript) if interviewed.
Responsibilities
- Transport pre-school students to Head Start locations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthful environment while transporting children and staff.
- Ensure the security of the bus.
- Ensure the bus is safe and mechanically maintained at all times.
- Provide custodial assistance in the center (for full-time positions).
