About The Position

DAEOC is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Bus Drivers for Head Start locations in the Charleston area. This role involves safely transporting pre-school students and ensuring a secure, clean, and healthy environment on the bus. Full-time positions are available for candidates willing to also provide custodial assistance at our centers, which includes benefits. Part-time bus driving opportunities are also available.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
CDL (class A or B) driver's license valid in the state of Missouri with passenger endorsement.
Must be at least 25 years old (per insurance company requirements).
Ability to provide proof of degree (diploma or official transcript) if interviewed.

Responsibilities

Transport pre-school students to and from Head Start locations.
Maintain a safe, clean, and healthful environment for children and staff during transport.
Ensure the security of the bus.
Verify that the bus is safe and mechanically maintained at all times.
Provide custodial assistance in the center as needed for full-time positions.
