About The Position

Delivers and installs kitchen and laundry appliances using a company-provided vehicle. Maintains delivery records and provides customer service regarding orders and delivery issues. The role involves operating a company or rental vehicle, and the company continuously monitors Motor Vehicle Records for employees selected for the position. An acceptable MVR status and a valid driver’s license are required.

Work is performed under general supervision, with some judgment exercised within well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Output is regularly reviewed by a senior coworker or supervisor, and complex or unusual problems are referred to a supervisor. The work environment may include temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. The job requires intermittent periods of physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering heavy or awkward materials or equipment weighing 50 pounds or more. Overnight travel is typically less than 10% of the time.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record status are required.
• Generally 2–5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Specialized skills training or certification may be required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience delivering and installing appliances.
• At least 1 year of experience operating material handling equipment.
• Experience operating a box truck.
• No more than 2 moving violations or 2 minor accidents in the past rolling 3 years.
• Wholesale distribution experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, polite, and professional customer service and address concerns during delivery and installation.
• Load, transport, and safely deliver kitchen and laundry appliances to customer homes or businesses.
• Install appliances in compliance with manufacturer guidelines, building codes, and safety standards.
• Perform basic water, electrical, and venting connections during installation.
• Remove old appliances and dispose of packaging materials as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic installation issues and escalate issues when necessary.
• Follow planned routes to make timely deliveries while complying with traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle and follow safety protocols.
• Maintain records of deliveries and assist with order and delivery issues.
