About The Position

Delivers and installs kitchen and laundry appliances using a company-provided vehicle. Maintains delivery records and provides customer service regarding order and delivery issues. The role requires operation of a company or rental vehicle, potentially during the average work week. The company continuously monitors Motor Vehicle Records for selected candidates; an acceptable MVR status and a valid driver’s license are required.

Work is performed under general supervision, with some judgment exercised within well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work output is regularly reviewed by a senior coworker or supervisor. Complex or unusual problems are referred to a supervisor.

The work environment is typically comfortable, with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness, including temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. The role involves intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward materials or equipment. Overnight travel is typically required less than 10% of the time.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record status; the company continuously monitors MVRs for selected candidates.
• Generally 2–5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Specialized skills training or certification may be required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Prior experience delivering and installing appliances.
• At least 1 year of experience operating material handling equipment.
• Experience operating a box truck.
• No more than 2 moving violations or 2 minor accidents in the past rolling 3 years.
• Wholesale distribution experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and address concerns during delivery and installation.
• Load, transport, and safely deliver kitchen and laundry appliances to customer homes or businesses.
• Install appliances in compliance with manufacturer guidelines, building codes, and safety standards.
• Perform basic water, electrical, and venting connections during installation.
• Remove old appliances and dispose of packaging materials as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic installation issues and escalate issues when necessary.
• Follow planned routes to make timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle and follow safety protocols.
• Maintain records of deliveries and provide customer service regarding order and delivery issues.
