About The Position

The Building Monitor's purpose is to monitor the people coming in and out of the CAD facility, to maintain a safe and secure environment, and to communicate any issues related to the safety and security of the building to the appropriate staff person(s). The Building Monitor will arrive for his/her shift promptly as scheduled and maintain responsibility for the safety and security of the facility. The Building Monitor will conduct hourly rounds of the facility so that he/she is aware of who is in the building and to look for any maintenance or security needs. The Building Monitor will greet students, faculty/staff, or guests who are using the facility after hours and on weekends. The Building Monitor will communicate any issues or concerns related to the safety and security of the facility or any incidents that occur while on duty with the appropriate staff person and/or Campus Security.

Requirements

Must be currently enrolled as a student in O'More College of Architecture & Design
Reliable and punctual
Able to work independently with little supervision
Able to work well with peers
Excellent communicator

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience preferred, but not required.
