About The Position

The College of Engineering & Mines is looking for student building monitors to assist the College of Engineering & Mines during after or non-business hours. This position is open to FWS and INST student funding. This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Requirements

• Work evenings and weekends plus some holidays
• Have a basic working knowledge of safety policies and procedures
• Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
• Successful completion of a Standard Criminal History Background Check
• In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
• This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Walk the entire complex each hour
• Document each walk with notes with exact date and times
• Report maintenance and cleaning issues to the supervisor in a timely manner
• Report any disturbances or safety violations to the proper authorities
• Work independently without a direct supervisor for extended periods of time
• Able to answer questions without the contact of supervisors
