About The Position

Provides for the well-being and comfort of staff, students, and visitors by maintaining Rawhide buildings and grounds for work, school, and residence. Performs routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions, and repairs and services landscape, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Requirements

1–2 years of maintenance or related experience.
Experience making structural repairs to buildings.
General carpentry skills.
Experience servicing HVAC systems.
Experience using landscaping tools and machines.

Responsibilities

Maintain buildings through painting, occasional cleaning, repairs, maintenance requests, preventive maintenance from weekly, monthly, and seasonal lists, and restocking paper products.
Perform general carpentry, including marking, cutting, shaping, assembling, and fastening materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
Perform minor electrical repairs by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus, identifying faulty wiring, and inspecting and testing equipment.
Maintain plumbing systems by repairing faucets and opening clogged drains.
Maintain building climate by servicing heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Prepare seasonal equipment by sharpening mower blades, changing fluids, checking belts and chains on lawn equipment and chainsaws, and cleaning equipment for seasonal storage.
Maintain landscapes and roads by removing brush, installing landscaping, trimming trees, and operating heavy equipment for grading, hauling, and snow removal.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge through required training, educational workshops, professional publications, personal networks, and professional societies.

Contribute to team efforts and perform other duties as directed or assigned.
