About The Position

The Building and Services Coordinator supervises and coordinates activities related to building work and support equipment, equipment maintenance projects, and contractor follow-ups at the Coke Canada Lachine site. This role ensures that work is completed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities include task planning, coordination of teams and subcontractors, administrative project management, and ensuring compliance of all work performed. The position reports to the Maintenance Director and will work closely with various departments across the site. This position is a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of project management techniques, including planning, monitoring, and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with teams, subcontractors, and management.
  • Technical knowledge of buildings, engineering, and/or maintenance operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a planner or supervisor in a maintenance department

Responsibilities

  • Organize team activities, plan schedules, coordinate subcontractors and service providers, and issue work permits.
  • Develop long-term maintenance and/or replacement plans for equipment.
  • Manage documentation, contracts, permits, and correspondence related to building, maintenance, and service projects.
  • Monitor work progress, ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and approved changes.
  • Ensure the safety of plant buildings and grounds, and coordinate maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Coordinate the flow of materials, equipment, and information between departments and work teams.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance planners and supervisors and perform all other duties assigned by the Maintenance Director.
