About The Position
The Building Attendant works in Environmental Services at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, maintaining sanitary and attractive surroundings while providing excellent customer service and complying with safety and regulatory guidelines. The role follows OSHA and MSDS practices. This per diem position is based at 50 Leroy Street, Potsdam, New York. The schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, including every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of industrial or institutional cleaning experience.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain patient rooms, operating rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Handle trash and waste disposal in compliance with applicable standards.
- Maintain floors and carpets through stripping, waxing, and shampooing.
- Ensure walkways are safe and accessible.
- Assist patients, visitors, and staff responsively, with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- Follow OSHA and MSDS safety practices.
- Work collaboratively to achieve departmental goals.
